Ferag founder Walter Reist passed away
We were deeply saddened to hear the message that on Tuesday, June 07, 2022, our company founder, and long-time patron Walter Reist passed away at the age of 95.
With his inventive talent, his entrepreneurial skills and his corporate culture, Walter Reist, once a trained machinist and later a mechanical engineer, became both a world market leader and a sought-after contractual partner in the field of conveying and processing systems in the printing industry, thanks to his pioneering inventions and developments in the area of production processes.
Walter Reist had everything that characterizes a pioneer. Charisma, the will to achieve, but also a keen sense of recognizing and seizing opportunities. We are losing an exceptional personality to whom we all owe a great deal. It is our endeavor to successfully continue his work and to cultivate and further develop his entrepreneurial ideas.
Our sincere sympathy goes to his family, friends, and colleagues. Walter Reist will remain unforgotten in his winning manner.
